We, at Connexins.com, are actually a "One Man Show". I am a PhD student in the field of cancer research.I have been in research since 2000. In my young and humble opinion, scientific research, unfortunately, has become slightly detached from its real focus and the real goal has been, in many instances, blurred.
Why? Competition, limited funding, Politics, etc...
I decided that I do not want to get caught up in the system. Therefore, after I receive my PhD degree, I will start a science-based non-profit organization that focuses on establishing a link between the scientific research community and serving the public. In addition, I have several ideas on how to provide resources to improve the academic research environment. To avoid the politics that usually hinders progress, I want to fund the organization out-of-pocket. In order to do so, I need to develop independent sources of income.
So what exactly is Connexins.com about?
The task ahead of me at Connexins.com is to combine my science education and training to my deep-rooted interest in leadership and personal development to create useful articles and resources that promote a complete and well-rounded approach to healthy living.
It is my sincere and ambitious goal that this website will benefit anyone who reads it.
