We, at Connexins.com, are actually a "One Man Show". I am a PhD student in the field of cancer research.
I have been in academic research since 2000. In my young and humble opinion, scientific research, unfortunately, has become slightly detached from its real focus and the real goal has been, in many instances, blurred.
After I receive my PhD degree, I would like to start a non-profit organization that focuses on bridging the gap between the scientific academic research community and the general public. For example, I would like to focus my efforts on projects like Fatty-Acids.org.
But who will fund my projects?
Sure, I can apply for government or private grants. In my experience, however, valuable time is almost always wasted in the political process of asking for money. Politics usually hinders progress, wouldn't you agree?
But, I live in the United States, where I can enjoy the opportunities that the free enterprise system presents. Capitalizing on the free enterprise system and my own entrepreneurial drive, I can generate funds on my own. Hence, Connexins.com
So what exactly is Connexins.com about?
My objective is to capitalize on the power of the internet and invest my time in different projects, through which I can generate funds to support myself and pursue the important goals and visions I have for my future.

Because of my extensive time commitment as a graduate student, all these projects were developed in a matter of a few hours each week. Over time, however, they add up... and it is my hope that my cumulative effort would be of a significant impact one day!
My long term mission is to remain focused on helping others and adding value to their lives.
